The first type is the AC to DC Converter, which is the most common form used in industrial automation. The second type is the DC to DC Converter. This type takes an input DC voltage and converts it into a different DC voltage level — either higher or lower. It is often used inside electronic circuits to power components that require different voltage levels. The fourth type is the AC to AC Converter, which modifies the AC input to another AC output with a different voltage or frequency.
